Join Edward M. Strauss at the Club as he discusses, Poilu: The World War I Notebooks of Corporal Louis Barthas, Barrelmaker, 1914-1918. Ed translated this work from the original French over the past several years leading up to the World War I centennial. The book has already earned numerous accolades including mentions from The New York Times, The Daily Beast, and the Washington Independent Review of Books.

Chef Michael will prepare a special dinner in celebration along with wines to accompany it.

This event is held in conjunction with the Millennium Lecture Series.
