Miriam Gottfried ’09JRN:

Miriam Gottfried covers media, entertainment and telecommunications for The Wall Street Journal‘s Heard on the Street section. She was previously a staff writer for Barron’s magazine, writing corporate profiles with an investing angle and reported for Chicago Public Radio, Crain’s Chicago Business and Forbes magazine before that. Miriam is a graduate of the Columbia Journalism School and Wesleyan.

Bill Grueskin:

Academic Dean & Professor, Columbia Journalism School, was managing editor of The Wall Street Journal Online, from 2001, the number of subscribers doubled to more than one million. The site also introduced blogs, interactive graphics, podcasts and video. In 2007, as deputy managing editor/news, he oversaw 14 domestic news bureaus and the print and online news-editing desks. In 2011, Bill co-authored “The Story So Far: What We Know About the Business of Digital Journalism,” which examines online traffic, emerging news platforms, paywalls, aggregation and new sources of revenue. Bill has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins. He has served as a Pulitzer Prize juror.

Andrew Lerner ‘92BUS:

After running Time Warner Electronic Publishing, Andy has founded and sold multiple start-ups and is currently three years into his latest venture – Trust Metrics: a data publisher serving the advertising technology industry. Andy has been involved with the financing, production, sales, and distribution of nearly every type of digital media content: books, games, news, lifestyle, art, data, music, video, and social. Early in his career Andy was the author of three children’s books and edited several magazines. He has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia University 1992.

Eric J. Sheridan:

Eric J. Sheridan is an Executive Director in the Communications/Media equity research group at UBS responsible for lead coverage of the Internet & Interactive Entertainment sector. Eric has 13 years of prior Wall Street experience, including most recently as a Portfolio Manager at Citadel Asset Management. While at Citadel, Eric led a team covering Internet, Telecom, Cable/Satellite, Media and Travel/Leisure. Prior to joining Citadel, Eric was a Partner at Intrepid Capital Management responsible for the firm’s investments in the Telecom, Media and Internet industries on a global basis. Eric has a J.D. from St. John’s University Law School and a B.A. in History from Franklin & Marshall College.
