Dance professionals Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with the Stars fame will be coming to the Club to teach an exciting group ballroom lesson! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from these international dancing sensations and global champions!

Karina was born in the Ukraine and came to the U.S. with her family at age 12. At five years of age she studied ballet and then moved on to figure skating. At the age of nine, she was introduced to ballroom dancing and fell in love with it. Karina graduated from Fordham University with a law degree but put her academic studies on hold to pursue her ballroom dancing career in the United Kingdom.

Maksim, originally from Ukraine, was introduced to the world of ballroom dancing at a young age. As a teenager he experienced a horrible skiing accident causing a 12-inch metal rod to be placed in his leg. However, he managed to establish himself as the top dancer in Ukraine and as one of the best dancers in the world. Maks started the Rising Stars Dance Academy, the premier youth ballroom dance school in the US.
