America’s Businesses in the Arab World with Judith Hornok

America’s Businesses in the Arab World with Judith Hornok

As America gets more and more independent with its own oil and gas resources – along with green energy, fracking and other technologies – Why should the US continue to cooperate with the Arab World?

According to Reuters, Saudi Arabia’s $748 billion economy should expand more than 4.3 percent next year. Qatar is expected to grow in 2015 as it spends billions of dollars on construction before it hosts the 2022 World Cup soccer tournament.

Judith Hornok, a highly regarded journalist and author, who left the glamorous world of F1 racing in 2001 to work in the male-dominated Arab Gulf, will deliver a talk about her exciting career and her discovery: Now is the right time for American businesses to position themselves favorably against the competition in the Arab Gulf.  Drawing on her experience, Hornok will share tips on how to read business people from this region and some “proven Golden Rules” US companies and entrepreneurs must follow.

Hornok has contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers about the Arab Gulf and lectures worldwide on the topic of The New Generation. Her book “Modern Arab Women”, which outlines Arab women who have created successful lives within strict traditional cultures, is featured in the U.S. Library of Congress in Washington D.C.

In 2008, as CEO of Hornok & Partner, she founded a team of businesspeople and strategy advisers for multinationals and governments situated in the Arab Gulf. Hornok’s team includes Arab society experts who coach business leaders to help them understand the business culture of the Gulf region and which actions will lead them to success.
