Italian Futurism, 1909-1944: Reconstructing the Universe

Italian Futurism, 1909-1944: Reconstructing the Universe

Five years in the making, this is the first comprehensive overview of Italian Futurism to be presented in the United States. This multidisciplinary fascinating and stylish exhibition examines the historical sweep of the movement from its inception by the poet F.T. Marinetti to its demise in 1994.

The exhibit includes over 300 works including paintings, sculpture, architecture, design, ceramics, and  many others. One of the highlights is Balla’s painting “Automobile in Corso” which recently sold for $11.5 million at Sotheby’s. Afterwards we will partake in a three course lunch at the Wright Restaurant.
