New York Public Library Schwarzman Building Tour and Lunch Sold Out

New York Public Library Schwarzman Building Tour and Lunch

This is a private, docent-led tour of the Main Branch of the New York Public Library located at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. The group tour features the history and architecture of the Stephen Schwarzman Building. The Schwarzman Building, opened in 1911, was designed by the architectural firm Carrere & Hastings. The Main Branch of the New York Public Library is a prominent historic landmark, famous for its majestic, Beaux Arts Rose Reading Room and for special rooms named for notable authors and scholars. The docents that led the tours are retirees from academia.

The docent will meet the group at the Information Desk in Astor Hall located on the first floor. Afterwards, the group will walk behind the New York Public Library for an a la carte lunch at Bryant Park Grill.
