Planned Parenthood’s Centennial
The Princeton Club is proud to present Dr. Raegan McDonald-Mosley, MD, MPH, FACOG, Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Planned Parenthood is celebrating its centennial and Dr. McDonald-Mosely will explain the history of the organization starting as a single storefront in Brooklyn and how it became a part of the community fabric in all 50 states. Dr. McDonald-Mosely will also address their plans to carry its mission into its second century. In addition to some major opportunities for Planned Parenthood and the reproductive health, justice and rights movement, Dr. McDonald-Mosely will address some of the challenges that remain in terms of inequity in sexual and reproductive health care and ongoing political interference in the practice of medicine.
Dr. McDonald-Mosley has conducted research related to family planning and is dedicated to improving the reproductive health outcomes for women in her community as well as in other underserved regions of the world. She most recently served as the Medical Director and Interim President & CEO of Planned Parenthood of Maryland and joined the national office of Planned Parenthood Federation of America as the Chief Medical Officer in July 2015.
