Program

Three hundred years ago, J.S. Bach wrote six magical, legendary suites for solo cello: In this rare presentation, the six suites are performed together by a diverse collection of artists, using a wide variety of approaches to Bach’s masterpiece. Three of the suites exemplify the beauty of traditional solo cello format, while the remaining three suites burst to life through innovative interpretations incorporating elements of dance, theater, jazz or voice.

About Stephanie Winters ’91TC

Stephanie Winters is on a mission to inspire people to positive change. Whether she is giving a keynote, facilitating a workshop or working with individuals one-to-one, her work centers on listening, conversation and movement to cultivate communication, executive presence and leadership.

Numerous clients worldwide have benefited from Stephanie’s keynotes and leadership development, among them Commonwealth Bank of Australia, L’Oréal, World Bank, and the United Nations. She holds an MA from Columbia and has presented at Harvard and other universities throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. An elite cellist who has performed 3000 concerts around the world, Stephanie has played with artists including Richie Havens, Ellie Goulding and Enya. Her solo CD Through the Storm (reissued 2009) was widely praised. Stephanie brings her extensive stage experience to her leadership development work, with a special emphasis on listening and self-mastery: it’s all about how to bring your full talent, perseverance, daring and love to creating your future.
