In the Company of Legends
Starting in 1980, Joan Kramer and David Heeley created television profiles of some of the most famous and powerful stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age – Katharine Hepburn, James Stewart, Johnny Carson, Audrey Hepburn, Jane Fonda, Richard Dreyfuss, among many others – and indeed remained good friends with many of them for years after.
In this talk, illustrated with stills and outtakes, Kramer and Heeley will describe their experiences working with James Stewart on the Great Performances special James Stewart: A Wonderful Life, hosted by Johnny Carson. The show received many awards and was the highest rated Great Performances to date.
