William Cohan, a former senior Wall Street M&A investment banker for 17 years at Lazard Frères & Co, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase, is the author of the New York Times bestsellers House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall and The Last Tycoons: The Secret History of Lazard Frères & Co. His new book, Money And Power, was also a NYT bestseller. He is a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and writes a weekly opinion column for BloombergView. He previously wrote a bi-weekly opinion column for theNew York Times, writes for The Financial Times, Bloomberg Business Week, The Atlantic, Art News, the Irish Times, and the Washington Post, and appears as a guest on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC and on Bloomberg TV – where is a contributing editor. He has also appeared as a guest on the Daily Show, The NewsHour, The Charlie Rose Show and the Tavis Smiley Show, as well as on numerous NPR, BBC, and Bloomberg Radio programs. He is a graduate of Duke University, Columbia University School of Journalism and the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
